    As I am good friends with someone from the horse world, I came across alfalfa. In the equine world this is already widely used in nutrition with great results to keep the horses healthy and strong, so it caught my attention to test it on our birds as well.

    The leaves of this plant are very rich in calcium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, carbohydrates, proteins, carotene, and many other finer substances. It contains large amount of chlorophyll. It is the richest crop in natural enzymes.
    It akalizes and detoxifies the body and especially the liver. It also contains a substance that prevents fungi. Its ability to contribute to building a resistance to infection is almost phenomenal.

    I only use the leaves because the seeds contain a slightly toxic amino acid.
    In short, a product that should definitely not be missing in my spice mixes.
